You may be curious about this, as you may or may not know what a Twitter list exactly is. It’s a list of people so it can channel down your Twitter feed, so you aren’t getting Tweets that are irrelevant. It can also be very useful for several other purposes, such as employee connecting, event planning, competitor monitoring and industry leader connecting.
So, now that we know why to make to make a list, how do we do it?
Let’s do this. We’re going to take you on a step-by-step tour on how to create a list and add members to it. You ready? Here we go!
Step 1: Go to www.Twitter.com.
Go to www.Twitter.com via your URL link, where you type in the website you want to go to.
Step 2: Go to your profile.
Now, once you’re on Twitter, click on your icon in the top-left corner and it will take you to your profile page. Here’s a zoomed-out version of where the circle was:
Step 2: Click on “Lists”.
Click on the “Lists” link right next to your Tweets, people you follow, followers, likes and Moments. It’s in your profile, above all of your Tweets and Retweets.
Step 3: Create a new list.
Click on “Create New List” underneath the “Edit Profile” button. It’s right above your Tweet activity and who to follow, underneath your cover photo.
Step 4: Name and set up your list.
Name your list whatever you want to name it and then add a description. It is optional to add a description, but it’s recommended.
You also have the option to make it public or private.
Then save the list!
Step 5: Search for people.
Add people to your list in the middle by searching them. For example, we’re going to search Arianna Fox, our daughter’s Twitter account.
Step 6: Add people to your list.
Now click on the three dots and click “Add or Remove From Lists”.
Step 7: Select your list that you want to add someone to.
Click on “Add or Remove From Lists” and then check the list you want to add them to.
