1. Be Unique
Create a brand that is uniquely yours. Think about what makes you stand out from the rest of the professionals in your niche and use that to your advantage. Use colors and create the style, look and feel that showcase your unique brand.
2. Don’t Use Script Style Fonts for Your Logo
Use a font that is simple and easy to read for your logo. Many script style fonts are too hard to read. Think of all the places your logo will be seen. On a billboard for example, people have only a few seconds to read it.
3. Be Consistent
Make sure your branding is consistent. Use the same colors, logo, look and feel throughout all promotional materials, social media platforms, your website, etc. Your customers should be able to instantly recognize your brand no matter what form of your content they’re viewing.
4. Don’t Make Your Content Too Wordy
Make sure you don’t have long paragraphs of just text on your website, promotional materials, etc. If the content is too long most people won’t take the time to read it, especially if they have to scroll down the page.
5. Make Your Logo Simple
Don’t try to explain the whole history and mission of your company in your logo. Make your logo clean and simple. Your logo shouldn’t require a guide to help your customers understand it.
Make sure you create a brand that is consistent, highly recognizable, and uniquely yours. Your branding should leave a positive impact and feeling with your customers, not a negative one.
Also, your logo should be simple and easy to read on whatever form of marketing you choose to use. From something as big as a billboard all the way down to something as small as a social media icon.
