Logos can vary from simple and silhouette to complex, photo-based. The one thing to keep in mind is that your logo must be easily reproducible and Brand-able. In other words, what would your logo look like if it were made into stitching for a hat or shirt? Or if it were very small, would it be so hard to understand? Try not to have your logo have the need for a magnifying glass or hieroglyphics interpreter needed. Make it simple. Make it stick. Make it marketable.
